The Big Day Finally Arrived!
At NT Voice & Data, we’ve been hard at work preparing to take part in The Big Goal for to support The Street Soccer Foundation and their mission to tackle youth homelessness. Finally, on April 26th, the big day arrived, and we were brimming with excitement to showcase our skills on the field at the Midlands Regional competition!
The day commenced with great anticipation as we warmed up to compete against 4 other members of our Midlands group. Our competitors were fellow ICT companies from across the county: Inform Billing, BDR Group, Daisy Group, and Welcome. Despite 2 victories over Inform Billing (3-0) and Daisy (3-1), we faced setbacks playing Welcome and BDR, losing both matches, (0,1) and (0,2) respectively. Sadly, we didn’t make it through to the next stage but we lost to an excellent team, BDR who were the winners of our group. They also went on to be crowned the Midlands Champions, gaining a coveted place in the National Finals taking place later this year at the Home of England Football: St George’s Park. We wish them all the best!
Representing NT Voice and Data were our skilled team members: Mark, Daniel, Ben, Ian, Chris, Luke, Marcel, and Liam, with Marcel standing out as our top goal scorer! We are thrilled to share some snapshots from the memorable day below!

Though NT may not have clinched a place in the finals, the impact of the competition extends far beyond the pitch. The real victory is in the difference we have helped to make in the lives of some young people in our community. Our participation has enabled ten young individuals from the Nottingham area the chance to pursue their dreams through The Street Soccer Foundation’s National Academy Programme by giving them the opportunity to take part in a 10 week personal development training program.

One of the standout moments of the day was meeting and chatting with former Leicester City player, Danny Simpson, who is a great ambassador for The Street Soccer Foundation.
We want to say a huge thanks to The Big Goal for giving us the chance to get out of the office and focus some of our time giving back to our community and for the unique opportunity to take part in this competition for a great charity. Now it’s back to creating smart telecom solutions and improving the data systems for businesses across the country! Contact our expert team to chat how we can help your business.
