Stanton on the Wolds golf club is one of the most well-known and desirable golf courses in the Midlands. The picturesque location was looking to modernise their business communications system across the office, club house, green keepers, restaurant, and bar.
Stanton on the Wolds Golf Club was concerned that their dated on premise Avaya IP Office 500 telephone system had been declared end of life by the manufacturer and therefore support and future upgrades would be an issue. The system also lacked flexibility, it meant for staff who needed to be able to work from home, or around the grounds of the club they were not able to have access to a telephone.
NT Voice & Data Solutions have been looking after all telecommunications and connectivity needs of Stanton On the Wolds Golf Club for more than 15 years. Proper planning and consultation was carried out with the Club to understand the individual needs of the users and then we were able to demonstrate how these could be met using a Cloud based Unified Comms solution from market leader Wildix.
Using the Collaboration (softphone) application, enables Stanton on the Wolds Golf Club staff to make and receive calls from their PCs, laptops and mobile devices at any time and from any location, immediately giving the business more freedom to accommodate the business’ environment.
The flexibility of the licensing model used by Wildix means that for those staff members who don’t require a full UC phone system licence, are able to just have a handset set up in areas like the main office, golf shop, green keepers’ area, restaurant, and bar. This means it’s a very cost-effective system for the business, while still ensuring all staff have access to the phone system where required.
The Wildix solution provides a vast range of features included as standard, such as call forwarding and call routing options to direct callers to the correct team, as well as an automated attendant to greet callers with a pre-recorded message. Notes can be added against the Club Members names allowing conversations to become more personal.
All of the management team can access the standard features of the mobile app, allowing the business to communicate via instant messaging and video calls, as well as sharing files and screens with each another. Quick glance indicators show presence and availability of a colleague, whether they are away or busy and whom they’re speaking to, so staff can keep in regular touch, regardless of their location.
